With 32 years of experience practicing law, Mr. Lederman concentrates primarily on resolving complex commercial disputes in the areas of technology, banking, real estate and insurance. Mr. Lederman’s arrival at Joseph & Cohen continues to bolster the firm’s core banking, commercial and real estate litigation, financial services, and regulatory expertise.
Jeffrey Lederman has a long track record of achieving outstanding results on behalf of clients, Mr. Lederman was the exclusive California recipient for litigation in the 2013 edition of Client Choice Guide – USA & Canada and was one of 318 lawyers nationwide named a 2011 BTI Client Service All-Star in an annual report published by the BTI Consulting Group, recognizing attorneys for exceptional client service.
Mr. Lederman joins Joseph & Cohen after a longstanding tenure as a partner and head of the San Francisco Litigation Practice Group at Winston & Strawn LLP, a prestigious international law firm. Prior to that, he was head of the Real Estate Practice Group at Palo Alto-based Gray Cary Ware and Freidenrich LLP (now part of internationally renowned DLA Piper), which he joined in 1982.
Mr. Lederman’s experience includes consumer and commercial class actions, contract and warranty claims, business torts, real estate disputes, insurance disputes, the Uniform Commercial Code, and consumer protection statutes. He is particularly known for his expertise in technology matters, including the sale and lease of technology products, counseling, and defective commercial product claims up and down the distribution chain.
